OUR REGURLARLY SCHEDULED CLASSES
FORREST YOGA
Ana Forrest, creator of Forrest Yoga, has a unique and powerful philosophy and approach toward yoga. The purpose is to purify the body, release emotional pain, and get strong and centered so that healing can take place. By using deep breathing, long holds in each posture, and vigorous sequences, you will flush out toxins and rejuvenate every cell in your body. All levels offered.
VINYASA
Vinyasa is a style of yoga that focuses on linking breath with movement and flowing from one posture to the next. Therefore, it is a type of yoga with few breaks, and definitely a bit sweaty. You will learn to perform a series of strengthening and balancing postures for the entire body, and have the opportunity to push yourself to your own level.
Because of its continuity and variety, Vinyasa yoga raises performance, flexibility, balance & focus. All levels offered.
ROOT INTEGRATIVE VINYASA
Root Integrative Vinyasa uses intelligent sequencing and unique transitions to create a challenging class that brings awareness to your core, while creating a deeper connection with yourself. The playfulness that the teacher brings keeps the class lighthearted, but anatomical brilliance holds the integrity of alignment in a way that integrates the entire body into every movement. In these classes you can expect to find rigorous vinyasa, long holds and the encouragement to stay present with your mind and your body.
TURBO DOG
Turbo Dog is a Forrest Yoga class designed to fit in one hour. Through vigorous sequences, deep breathing, and strength centered holds, you will leave class feeling energized, purified, and centered for the rest of your day.
YOGA PLAYGROUND
Yoga Playground is an advanced Forrest class that includes inversions, arm balances, gravity surfing & backbends. This class encourages the advanced yogi to experiment with challenging postures, all in a fun and playful atmosphere. This class is focused toward students who have a foundation in yoga and want to grow their practice with more challenging and difficult postures.
MIGHTY ROOT
Mighty Root is a core-focused class that bridges the gap between fitness and yoga. By using light medicine balls, Mighty Root offers a unique alternative to a traditional yoga class. This class will work you through movements to develop a stable foundation of strength, flexibility and balance.
ANUSARA FLOW
Anusara Yoga literally means, “stepping in to the flow of grace.” By opening up to the possibility that one can do and be anything, one can experience the beauty of the world – one just needs to step in to the flow! Based on alignment principles created by Anusara’s founder, John Friend, the practice offers structural awareness and heart-centered movement.
FLOW AND RESTORE
Flow and Restore is a relaxing vinyasa yoga class designed to stretch, strengthen and tone the body while bringing balance to the central nervous system. The vinyasa portion of the class will connect breath with movement, allowing the body to release tension and stress. The class finishes with a long, sweet restorative sequence, offering even deeper levels of relaxation so you will emerge feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

YOGA FOR VETERANS
Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:45 in the Healing Center, FREE & Exclusive to Veterans, taught by Mark Perna
Yoga is about developing awareness of mind and body. There is a common misconception that yoga is about flexibility and relaxation. It can be. But when used for healing—for the aggressive healing that our veterans need—it is one of the most demanding workouts, physically, psychologically, and emotionally, as it needs to be. Becoming a Marine or soldier takes years of hard work. Should we be surprised, then, that our healing will take just as much, or more work? That it won’t be found in a little pill, a pharmaceutical panacea? Psychiatrists will tell you as much—that the medicine is merely a bandaid. True healing comes from within.
YIN YOGA
Thursdays 6:30 - 7:45pm in the Healing Center, taught by Elise Fabricant
Yin Yoga is a combination of Hatha Yoga and Chinese Taoist disciplines with unique yoga postures and variations, movements, vocalizations, visualization techniques, and insights designed for relaxation and quieting the mind. Yin yoga focuses on holding poses for longer than normal periods of time, in order to stretch the connective tissue and deepen meditation. Most postures in a Yin class are sitting or lying, for promoting growth, clearing energetic blockages, and enhancing circulation.
YOGA FOR CANCER SUPPORT
Saturdays 11:15am - 12:15pm in the Healing Center, A Gentle Yoga class for Cancer Patients / Survivors and their family members, taught by Alana Foeller
